Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace

The glorious architecture of the Beloselsky Belozersky Palace built in the Russian baroque style by the famous Saint-Petersburg architect Stakenschneider in 1846 is captivating. Especially magnificently the palace looks from the Anichkov Bridge – it seems as if the rosy decorated building swims out right into the Nevsky prospect. The Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace is richly decorated with columns, frescos, sculptures.

Interior of the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace is done in both rococo and baroque styles. The main stair case, rooms and halls are decorated with marble, paintings, frescos and mirrors.

Under the ownership of the Beloselsky-Belozersky family, the palace became a centre of high society, the scene of glittering parties and gala evenings. The events were so popular that members of the royal family - Tsar Alexandr the III and his wife Maria were frequent guests here.

Some say that the last Russian Tsar Nikolay the II has for the first time met his future wife Alexandra during one of the balls in the Beloselsky Belozersky Palace. In any case, Tsar Alexander the III liked the palace so much that he bought it for his younger brother Sergey.

The royals continued events and festivities in the palace, and even during the Soviet times the palace was used for concerts and receptions.

The Palace which used to delight crowned heads back in the old days is just right for you and your guests!

Polovtsov Palace

The Bronze Hall remained famous till nowadays for its wonderful acoustics and the incomparable atmosphere. It is also the perfect setting for performances of Russian classic chamber music of the 18th and 19th century.

The palace has always belonged to the Russian nobles. It was renovated several times and got its contemporary look in 1835. Together with its ancillary buildings the palace belongs by virtue of its long and colorful history to the most important cultural monuments in Russia.
